Dos Mosquises Islands in Los Roques They are approximately 1 ½ hours from Gran Roque, depending on the boat and weather conditions. Of these two keys, Dos Mosquises Norte and Dos Mosquises Sur, the most: interesting is the latter, since there are the facilities of the Los Roques Scientific Foundation, a park ranger station, the archaeological site and a magnificent beach. Since the 1960s, the Foundation has been conducting research and environmental education; its associates were promoters of the creation of the National Park and have conducted research ranging from aspects of the biology of coral reef communities to fishing, anthropology and archeology in the archipelago.
